glades12-500It is hard to believe March is almost over.  Other than two cold fronts, one early in the month and one this week, the fishing has been outstanding.  What a great start to tarpon season.  After a month chasing tarpon in the Everglades it is time to go back home.

The migration is strong this season.  The fish should start arriving in the Boca Grande area any day now.  The numbers will build daily throughout April into May.  I am excited to get to it.

Peak tarpon season in the Boca Grande/Charlotte Harbor area is May-August.  I still have a few openings in May and June if you want to get in on the early bite.

I am now booking for the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017 migration through the Everglades.  With near 100% repeat bookings dates are very limited.  If you are in for a true tarpon fishing adventure.  Fly fishing or spin, this is the place.  For more information: Gladestarpon.com

Anyone concerned about the Lake Okeechobee water releases affecting our area, don’t be.  It looks like a bunch of Fort Myers Captains are bitching and complaining they can’t catch fish because of it.  They think Big Sugar is to blame.  They think Big Sugar should write them a big check…  Trust me these guys weren’t very good before the water releases and never caught much anyway.  Come to Boca Grande our water is fine.  I will show you how it is done.
