After the cold front over Thanksgiving it warmed up nicely. With the temperatures is the low 80’s the fishing was good despite the slow tides we have had this past week.
In the mornings with the tail end of the outgoing tide we fished little points and creek mouths with mixed success. A couple redfish and smaller snook mixed with a ton of trout in the mix. The best bite was in the middle of the day to afternoon, once the tide started coming in. It seemed like the bigger sizes of all species were waiting to bite on the incoming tide. We caught all of the bigger redfish and snook mid-day.
Looks like this nice weather is going to hold at least through the weekend. I am looking forward to getting out there after them some more.
Keep the line tight and bow when they jump!
